The trio to concentrate on would appear to be ALQAFFAY, Gibb River and Times Up and we will put forward Alqaffay as the pick. The selection is a former Godolphin inmate who ran with plenty of promise on his first start for John Gosden at Salisbury last month. This longer trip should suit and he can get his head in front at the fourth time of asking. Gibb River looks the biggest danger as he was last seen out in a Group 3 race at Ascot when he finished down the field. He will benefit from this drop in trip but he has had a few chances now and he is becoming frustrating. Times Up ran a better race at Newmarket last month but he had previously disappointed over a similar trip to this so his ability to see this out can be questioned. Watchoverme may prove best of the others, but she was well beaten on her debut at Windsor and she will need to find significant improvement if she is to trouble the judge. This is a race that lacks strength in depth and the vote goes to Alqaffay.
