Shashana takes the eye on pedigree but will need to be above average to get the better of Rathor, who is taken to fulfill earlier promise, with Pink Shoes rated potentially the best of the remainder. The selection has found one too good in each of his three starts so far, latterly when finding little off the bridle over this trip at Epsom and collared close home by Grand Course. That still easily represents the best form on offer among those with racecourse experience and Henry Cecil's colt is very much the one to beat. James Fanshawe's Jamaar has shown ability in two starts to date but need to improve to trouble the judge, while Clive Brittain's Akona Matata is probably better than he showed at Doncaster first time out when his saddle slipped. Bigger dangers are likely to come from the newcomers with Luca Cumani's Sadler's Wells filly and Sir Michael Stoute's daughter of King's Best Shashana the clear picks on pedigree. Rathor has an obvious chance on their form shown so far though and he gets the vote.
