      Verdict

FILM FESTIVAL is bang in-form and gets the vote in the opener from Holiday Cocktail, Umverti and River Ardeche. Brian Ellison's charge won tidily under a positive ride last time and similar tactics should be adopted here as this is his minimum trip. The stiff finish will of course bring his stamina into play and he can defy a 6lb rise in the weights. Holiday Cocktail loves it here and will receive maximum assistance from the saddle. He's a three time course and distance winner including off higher marks for this rider, but the fact he's not won since landing this two years ago tempers enthusiasm. Umverti needs a career best to win from a perch of 68 and if that's to happen she'll also require an end-to-end gallop as she's really a 1m4f mare, while River Ardeche doesn't win as often as he should but ran well over course and distance two starts back. Bateau Bleu is interesting with the visor back on for only his second start of the season, Avitus disappointed last time but can get involved if returning to his previous efforts and Farleigh is unexposed, but Film Festival is in fine form and can add to his tally.
