Double Blade and L'Etang Bleu are both worthy of consideration here but the vote goes to last time out course and distance winner Blue Streak. The selection won in convincing style on this track a fortnight ago and a reproduction of that effort should be good enough to take this. Shamsan and Governor Daniel were both behind Blue Streak on that day and that form reads well in the context of this race. Double Blade will represent the main danger on his good win ahead of Xaipete, although he has left the Mary Reveley yard and joined Noel Wilson since that run. He has excellent place claims here but finds precious little off the bridle so can therefore be opposed here. L'Etang Bleu is the other with a chance but he was well beaten last time out behind Mantilla at Exeter and will need to improve on that effort to feature in the finish here. Blue Streak is in great from, has the assistance of A P McCoy and is therefore the confident choice.
