Verdict

Alan Bailey's Infidelity seemed to appreciate the step up to 1m2f when winning at Nottingham last month and it is surprising to see her dropped in trip today so we prefer to side with Kristal's Dream, who gets the verdict over Chicago Bond. The last mentioned lost her chance when stumbling on the bend at Catterick last time and may be worth another chance but we just prefer the claims of Kristal's Dream. John Dunlop's filly is stoutly bred on the dam's side so should improve for the longer trip today. The daughter of Night Shift showed her best form when upped to seven furlongs at Lingfield last time and appears well treated on that evidence, especially over a trip that is expected to suit. Hugh Morrison's Kythia is less exposed than most after just two starts and, with the stable in such good form, she has to be respected. Recent Musselburgh maiden winner Alpine Special, Miss Ladybird from the in-form James Given stable and Ed Dunlop's lightly raced Trompe L'Oeil are others worthy of a mention but Kristal's Dream holds solid claims and gets the vote.
