With fitness and a confidence boosting win at Fakenham under his belt Existential is a reasonably confident TEAMtalk selection to land this handicap chase for Paul Nicholls despite a rise in the weights. It could well be that he is a lot better than his racecourse form suggests and this could be the stepping stone for bigger and better things this season. Ernest William has shown ability in the past but his efforts of late have been disappointing and is best left alone here. Ingenu rarely runs a poor race at Plumpton and will give the selection most to do though this trip could be on the short side for him these days. Irish Option is definitely weighted to land this race but his near two year absence does not bode well despite his trainer having an excellent record here. Golden Rose has the best hurdle form of those on show but he has yet failed to reproduce that form over the larger obstacles.
