Based on consistency and fitness Miracle Kid is the selection in a tricky race to solve. Progressive last season, the eight-year-old showed up for a long way before weakening in the closing stages on his reappearance at Wetherby a couple of weeks ago. Bound finished behind the TEAMtalk selection in that Wetherby race and if he can put that poor run behind him he should go close. One time Triumph hurdle hope Mixsterthetrixster is returning from a near 1000 day absence and is best watched here. Effusive has some solid Irish form in the book and any market moves will be significant. He will be suited by any drying conditions. Bitter Sweet has shown himself to be a decent handicap hurdler in the past and conditions should suit him here. However he looks plenty high in the weights. Dabus has yet to recapture the form he should a couple of years ago and looks another who is badly handicapped. Dark horse could be Stewarts Lad who ran a couple of cracking races last year mixed with some disappointing efforts. He goes well fresh and looks on a handy mark for his handicap debut.
