Premier Dane has the scope to make up into a decent chaser, and can get off on the right foot here, with Patman Du Charmil and Litron seen as the main dangers. Premier Dane has not been seen since contesting the Swinton Hurdle at Haydock in May when he finished down the field. Successful three times on the Flat in the past, he has been tried at a high level over hurdles, chasing home Detroit City in a Grade 1 contest at Aintree last spring, before opening his account over timber at Kelso. A close third in this year's County Hurdle at Cheltenham, he brings the best form to the table, and a clear round on this, his chasing debut, should be more than enough. Patman Du Charmil has a lot more experience over the bigger obstacles than the selection, but things have gone wrong for him since his Warwick success in May, and he may be best watched here, and a bigger danger may well be Litron, who came right back to form in first-time cheekpieces at Bangor, going down narrowly to The Entomoligist. Mister Magnum has won round here before, so is worth a small mention, but if Premier Dane translates his best hurdles form to fences, there can only be one winner.
