Verdict

Veteran Caius Marcius is having a first run since completing a double at Doncaster in November and Zumbi is racing for the first time since August but Glentruan’s last win came off a higher mark and Rafferty's Return boasts solid form in this grade. SNAKE ROLL (NAP) has run in a couple of Grade 2 contests since beating subsequent winner Vandermere, rated 107, by 14 lengths at Newcastle on Boxing Day. Also an easy winner at Kelso on his hurdling debut, the six-year-old can make a winning start in handicaps.
