Despite the presence of Howard Johnson's Lennon in the Wylie colours, Graham Lee rides Nerone for Peter Monteith and the hint is taken with Rehearsal and Beseiged rated the main dangers. The selection was good value for his success at Ayr when last seen in February and the five-year-old looks well treated for his return to a handicap judged by that and, with the yard of Peter Monteith in good form, he looks worth a bet. Lennon may well be conditional ridden to take some weight off but the booking of Graham Lee for the selection certainly takes the eye. Billyandi had a hard race at Chepstow last time and is probably best watched today, while Bollin Thomas could probably do with some help from the handicapper. Andre Chenier may want a softer surface and of more interest may be Farne Isle, who may have been sharpened up by three runs on the flat since he was last seen over hurdles. Rehearsal is potentially interesting but the yard of Len Lugo has been quiet of late, while Beseiged is entitled to need his first start since June but does come from a yard in good form at present. He rates the main danger to the selection, who is Nerone.
