Caislean Ui Cuain can take this moderate contest from Russian Sky and Nolife. The Irish-trained selection is no stranger to raids this side of the water, having won at Cartmel and then finished runner up over course and distance to Alfy Rich in June. A blunder cost him any chance at Cartmel last time, but that should not put us off here. Though he can throw in the odd poor jump, he hurdles well in the main, stays at least as far as this, and acts on the ground, so he is the one for us. Russian Sky receives weight but is thoroughly inconsistent, running one good race and then a poor one. If that sequence continues then this will be a better effort, so if he does display his true ability then he can make the frame. There's little in it between Lucky Nomad and Nolife, but on balance Nolife might just edge that contest, and a win for Manoubi earlier on the card will give at least a small boost to his claims of picking up some prize money. The selection, however, is Irish raider Caislean Ui Cuain.
