A small field goes to post for the first on the card and it looks like a straight forward opportunity for the Nicky Henderson trained Slooghy. The seven-year-old beat Ravenswood in good style at Newbury a couple of runs ago and a reproduction of that effort would make him hard to beat. Pardini rates the main danger he is one of the least exposed in the field and his debut fourth behind East Tycoon gives him definite place claims. Bay Magic also has place claims on his best form but he has become slightly disappointing of late. Brave Lord is from a yard in top form and is another that is unexposed so he is worth a cautionary look in the market. The remainder need to improve on all known form to take a hand in the finish.
