made all, quickened before 2 out, pushed clear from last, easily
pulled early, chased winner, ridden before 2 out, weakening when left poor 3rd last
held up last, headway 5th and chased leaders, ridden 2 out, 3rd and held when fell last
held up towards rear, ridden and lost touch 5th, behind and pulled up before 2 out
prominent, reminders 3rd, ridden and weakened 4th, soon tailed off, pulled up after 3 out
pulled hard in touch, ridden 3 out, soon weakened
held up mid-division, headway 3 out, ridden and chased winner 2 out, stayed on same pace
held up towards rear, ridden 5th, soon behind, tailed off
Paul Nichols has the answer here with Cornish Gale who has been found a soft opportunity to follow up his recent course and distance victory, with only High Rocker expected to provide any danger. The nine-year-old hacked up here six days ago when put back over timber and plenty backed him despite his short odds. He will be equally prohibitive on this occasion but can easily shrug off a penalty to follow up. High Rocker is not one of the leading lights in Martin Pipe's yard but even so looks head and shoulders above the remainder who are just not up to it.
