Verdict
Diklers Oscar is selected to claim the finale at the main expense of Russian War and Forrest Lemons in a race where there are a number of unknown quantities and the market should be heeded. Forrest Lemons failed to build on a promising run at Hexham when beaten out of sight at Hereford. In the belief he didnt give his true running there, he is given the benefit of the doubt and taken to hit the frame. Russian War, a winning point to pointer, fulfilled the promise he showed in an Irish bumper when justifying favouritism here last time. He looks a progressive type who is still learning and is a big threat. Diklers Oscar finished two places ahead of Forrest Lemons at Hexham, and although the form has been let down by Forrest Lemons, Diklers Oscar can take advantage of the weight he receives from Russian War and take this.
