Valtor is in the veteran stage now and was a well-beaten third here in April while Tommy Rapper never threatened an easy winner when second at Aintree. FORGOT TO ASK has been a lot more consistent over the last few months and was always travelling like a winner last time at Market Rasen. He’s upped in grade today and 8lb higher but is probably worth sticking with. The trip could be a problem for Chirico Vallis but Landofsmiles won over course and distance at the big meeting here in April, though failed to cope with a new mark at Ffos Las. Potterman was a rather undeserving winners of the bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown in April and has little in hand over old rival El Presente here while this might be too tough a task for the likes of Caltex and Get Out The Gate but The Butcher Said could go well.
