Wor Verge was entered at Hexham yesterday so that result should be monitored. Dagian won a jumpers’ bumper in February so retains some ability and his yard has been among the winners lately. Zamarkhan has found only one too good in his last three starts and Stuart Crawford should find a race for Khanmurjan, who failed to land the odds in a maiden here last month but probably needed the run. The County Antrim stable also run Grey Girly but she’s gone up 3lb for finishing second here last time. Summer Lightening has slipped down the ratings but has only won at Catterick so far. EVITA DU MESNIL won here last month and probably ran up to that form at Hexham six days later, despite only finishing fourth. She wouldn’t mind a bit of rain and is unlikely to be far away again.
