Magical Wish never figured on soft ground in the Victoria Cup at Ascot but ran much better over track and trip before that and can figure. But STARSHIBA also ran well here last time when a close-up fourth in a tougher handicap and David Elsworth’s charge makes most appeal given he’s versatile as regards the going. Pistoletto tends to save his best for Chelmsford nowadays while Longlai won at Beverley before finding one too good at Newmarket and Perotto attempts this longer trip for the first time.
