Verdict

Cartmel winner Solway Dornal was placed over hurdles and fences at Hexham last month but beaten more than 20 lengths on both occasions. Via Archimede isn't without a chance as he's also been in the frame twice at Hexham recently but we prefer TALK OF SAAFEND, who has been placed on the Flat since her last appearance over timber in the spring. She won over 2m3f at Market Rasen last summer so the trip shouldn't be a problem and the mare gets the vote ahead of the returning Ruttan Lake, though the latter is unlikely to fail through lack of fitness.
