Unouself looked a shade unfortunate on his debut at Kilbeggan last month and James Lambe's gelding has to be respected but marginal preference is for another Irish challenger Russian War, who gets the vote over Sam Patch. The last mentioned has run creditably in both starts in bumpers so far and has to be respected but may have to settle for minor honours. Presenting Bobo has the advantage of experience but needs to improve to trouble the judge, while former point winner Brave Jewel gave little sign of encouragement on her rules debut and now has her first start for Alison Thorpe. The vote then goes to Gordon Elliott's Russian War, who has shown decent form in point-to-points and has transferred that over to rules with a promising debut at Tipperary last month. The drop in trip today should suit the son of Moscow Society and he is taken to open his account under rules today.
