Verdict

Seeyaaj ought to take some beating and is given the firm vote at the expense of Drumavaddy Lough and Notre Cyborg. The selection showed an improved return to form over course and distance behind Manhatten Boy recently for which he is now three pounds higher as a result. This race in comparison is far inferior and if repeating that same level of form he will prove difficult to beat. Drumvaddy Lough showed a decent level of form when scoring back to back races at Down Royal and Faiyhouse in the spring but was exposed off a career high of 108 last time out so it remains to be seen as to whether the handicapper has got a grip of him. Notre Cyborg is another to have risen in the weights quite considerably and has been a victim of his own success. His last wins came at the end of last summer both of which were at Stratford. Since then he has run well but found life tougher and he did disappoint at Towcester last time out suggesting he is best watched for the time being. So for the winner we return to Seeyaaj.
