Orpen¿s Art get the nod in an inauspicious opener to the Kempton action. Fabuleux Cherie and Le Toreador are forwarded as the main rivals to the selection. Le Toreador is capable at this sort of level and, having gained a confidence boosting success at Redcar last month, he comes here in good heart. Kevin Ryan¿s colt does, however, need to prove himself on an artificial surface and may be best watched on this occasion. Fabuleux Cherie made good progress as a juvenile and, with her yard in good form, she merits plenty of respect. There has to be the suspicion that she will need the run after 207 days away from the racecourse, though. Of the others: stablemates Stoneacre Pat and Stoneacre Sarah both have winning form on the All Weather and can find their level again before too long, while Compton Rose is open to improvement and is worth noting in the betting. Liberty Valance has a good cruising speed but lacks experience of racing over the minimum distance and may find a few too sharp. With Orpen¿s Art heading our shortlist as the one to be on this time around. The top weight has gone close here on numerous occasions and, as all his wins have come with a female jockey in the saddle, the booking of Hayley Turner looks a sound judgement by trainer Simon Callaghan.
