Dvinsky would never be one to trust with mortgage repayment but he still has the ability to win a race of this nature and gets the nomination ahead of Westport and Forced Upon Us. The well handicapped Mambazo can also play a strong part and is worth noting in the market. Forced Upon Us has been in good heart since reverting to sprint distances and has to be a threat on these terms. He has the assistance of a leading apprentice and a big run can be expected. Westport posted a good effort last time out and is respected on that form. Still, he does himself no favours with the handicapper and, having found it hard to win off this sort of mark for a while now, he looks vulnerable under top weight. Therefore, this may be best left to Dvinsky, whose recent profile stands up to scrutiny. The Paul Howling-trained gelding took an immediate liking to this course when it switched to a Polytrack surface and, as he has little to fear from the rest, Dvinsky can record his fourth course and distance success if he is on song tonight.
