Verdict

A winner at Chelmsford back in October, Power Of States was last in a conditions race at Newbury on his reappearance but the form of that race has worked out extremely well. Mohtarrif is also penalised and March’s Lingfield winner is having a first run on Turf while the five-year-old Point Taken has changed stables again having failed to win in five attempts over hurdles since making a winning debut at Dundalk. WILD ANIMAL wasn’t disgraced against the odds-on Qarasu at Windsor and, with further improvement likely, can go one better here, though the winner’s trainer Roger Charlton will have a good line on the chances of Haydock runner-up Infuse and she’s a big danger. Skerryvore and Tatweej have scope but will be qualified for handicaps after this.
