Verdict

Defence Treaty opened his account with a victory in soft ground at Leicester but is upped in class off a higher mark. In The Cove is preferred with an apprentice’s allowance negating a 5lb rise for winning at Lingfield but DARING VENTURE gets the vote. A winner at Chelmsford, he was beaten carrying a penalty at Newmarket last time but is expected to improve further now handicapping. Puzzle is another making his handicap debut with headgear added for the first time. Serengeti Song’s recent fourth came in maiden company and Gale Force Maya is proving best over 6f so far.
