Verdict

Roger Varian has sent a strong team to the meeting and BOWERMAN looks another with leading claims. The latter has a further hike in the weights to contend with but won with any amount in hand over track and trip in April and can go in again. Crownthorpe beat the re-opposing Bedouin's Story over course and distance last time but the latter re-opposes on much better terms today while Qaroun went close at Chelmsford recently, though recent placed efforts suggest he’s high enough in the weights. Military Law ran poorly in a big field at Newbury back in April and drops back down in distance on his return while Seniority was still well beaten when second at Epsom and Sandown runner-up Baltic Baron races on the all-weather for the first time.
