Young Fire is looking to win for the fifth time this year while Tim Easterby saddles July’s Carlisle winner Strongbowe, second in this last year, and Sunny Orange. Intercessor won last year’s renewal but is 4lb higher having got back to winning ways at Brighton. Botas was fourth in a valuable handicap at Kempton earlier in the month but EQUION (NAP) has come of age this year and was always holding on despite only winning by a neck over course and distance in July. He’s only gone up 2lb and has likely been saved for this. Cariad has placed three times over track and trip this year but looks held on the form book.
