Verdict
Eton College will have his ground but this trip proved beyond him at Newmarket in July. Olympicus only beat HAKUNA BABE by a neck at HQ and, on slightly better terms, William Jarvis’ three-year-old can reverse the form on this easier surface. Damascus Steel won on heavy going here last month and ran well again at Pontefract last week while Warren Hill is still relatively unexposed and will be a threat to all if handling the ground. Golden Maverick has won three times this year but has looked in the handicapper’s grip lately.
