Verdict

Despite being a tricky ride, Protected Guest has won seven times with four of those victories coming on Turf. GUMBALL has been keeping good company over fences since winning in this grade under Hollie Doyle at York in October. The versatile grey is only 3lb higher back on the Flat and could thwart the Johnstons’ pair Themaxwecan and Tribal Art with the latter penalised for what was ultimately a fortunate victory at Wolverhampton a week ago. Monsieur Lambrays was the first beaten at Ripon on Saturday while Dancing Harry may need this.
