      Verdict

Great As Gold, Ha'penny Beacon and Accordello are the three to look at here and confirmed mudlark Great As Gold can lead them home. Accordello is still a maiden but enjoys cut in the ground and ran well here three outings ago. She ran with credit at Pontefract last time but her losing record puts me off. Declan Caroll's Ha'penny Beacon has run well in soft ground and is stepping up in trip so his stamina has to be taken on trust but she could be favourably treated on her handicap bow. Great As Gold is at his best when conditions are at their most testing and he has conditions to suit here. His recent effort at Pontefract was a good one finishing third, but this is his ground and he gets the vote to take the top award here.
