        Verdict

        Grey Plover caught the eye last time and can pay to support today ahead of Lady Diktat, Shared Dreams and Shashana to name but three. John Dunlop's filly was noted finishing really well from off the pace at Newbury on her last outing in June, when fourth to Aunt Julia, and should improve enough to take a hand here. She should be capable of turning the tables on Lady Diktat who was ahead of her when runner-up to the useful Twyla Tharp at Goodwood in May. That was on much softer ground though, and the selection will be better suited by the faster going now. Shared Dreams has twice been second since returning to the fray, notably behind Teeba at Salisbury in June. She should have little difficulty in opening her account before too long. Shashana was put firmly in her place by Rathor at Pontefract, and if the latter wins the 4:10pm today, Sir Michael Stoute's filly will be more fancied. Any support for Summer Flight would be interesting, but we fancy that the experience of Grey Plover will be decisive.
