Kyoto Summit probably has the best form among those to have raced but Luca Cumani has made a slow start to the campaign so he may be best watched and a safer bet looks to be Alasoun, who is preferred to Garrulous. The last mentioned is a well bred newcomer form the Mark Johnston stable that would not need to be out of the ordinary to make a winning debut but the yard's runners normally improve with racing so he is probably best left out of calculations. Nelsons Column was tried over this trip as a two-year-old and may want further at the age of three, while Yeoman Spirit is far from certain on pedigree to stay this far. Chalentina did not show much in three starts as a juvenile and would not be an obvious stayer on pedigree either so preference is for Alasoun. Sir Michael Stoute's colt showed promise on his only start at two here over a mile and there should be plenty more to come over this trip.
