Birthday Star can race off the same mark as when successful at Wolverhampton last time and is taken to follow up back on turf at the main expense of Bill Bennett and Pee Jay's Dream. The last mentioned has been the model of consistency but has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper for that and he may be booked for a place at best again. Robbie Can Can has a bit to find with Bill Bennett on their running at Folkestone last time and, while there should not be much to choose between the two on running that day, Jonathan Jay's gelding is taken to confirm the form. My Legal Eagle ran with promise on his return but needs to improve to trouble the judge, while Dawn's Last Shot is less exposed than most and is the type that his trainer excels with so cannot be discounted. Birthday Star has solid claims at the weights though and he gets the vote to follow up his Wolverhampton success.
