Lively Lydia completed a double in August before ending her campaign in a Class 2 handicap at Goodwood so this is a step-down in grade. Staycation has had 15 starts without winning and has been beaten off lower marks in less grade in her three runs this season. Time For Bed, narrowly beaten in a major sales race at Newmarket in October, didn't impress on his reappearance unlike SOCRU, who had shown potential last season and reappeared with a victory over the trip at Doncaster. He can defy a 6lb rise though other dangers in a wide-open handicap include Wolverhampton winner Di Matteo, who makes his Turf debut, and Aghast, who returned from a long break with a comfortable victory at Thirsk.
