Verdict

Aegeus did nothing wrong when runner-up in what looked a decent contest at Bath though he was receiving 15lb from the winner. TABASSOR wasn't fancied for her Haydock debut over a mile on soft ground but ran very well and today's shorter trip and quicker conditions will be in her favour. Sweet Celebration has performed quite well in two starts on the all-weather and would have finished much closer last time but for trouble in-running. William Haggas' newcomer Sleepdancer is a full-brother to the stable's useful Pyjama Party but Aldente is unlikely to come into her own until tackling further.
