Ronsard has shown more consistency of late and deserves to get his head in front but Heather Dalton's gelding may have to settle for a minor role again with preference for Castanza, who gets the vote over Hidden Star. The selection is probably the least exposed runner in the field after just four starts and made light work of her opponents when stepped into handicap-company for the first time at Lingfield when last seen in July. Raised just 5lbs since then she has an obvious chance. Cantarna should again be thereabouts but seems a shade high in the handicap at present, while top weight Gifted Flame ran better at Newcastle earlier this month and has claims on the pick of his form. Bridgewater Boys has slipped to an attractive mark and has to be respected along although a bigger threat may be Hidden Star, who has a nice racing weight and is probably better than he showed last time. Castanza has plenty of improvement in her though and is taken to continue winning ways.
