Makai is taken to score here with Prince Evelith and Sant Elena put forward as the main dangers. The selection has shown enough in his three runs to date to set the standard for the rest here and in what looks his easiest assignment so far he is taken to finally lose his maiden tag. Prince Evelith rates the main danger as he shaped well on his debut but he was then a little disappointing when well-beaten at Newcastle. The drop to 6f may see him in a better light and if our selection fails to fire then he could be the one to profit. Sant Elena made a pleasing debut over this course and distance when finishing fourth behind Queen's Pudding. She is sure to come on for the experience and if the market speaks in her favour then it could pay to take the hint. A market move for the Sir Mark Prescott-trained newcomer Chess Board would also be interesting, but in a tricky race for punters to call we will side with Makai as our idea of the winner.
