The market often proves valuable is these early-season maidens, especially in events such as this where top yards unveil choicely-bred sorts. Obvious examples are Sir Michael Stoute's Altaayil and John Gosden's Seagull, both by superstar Sea The Stars and Godolphin's Shamardal filly, Zaeemah. Moohaarib is another interesting first-timer whilst those to have already shown promise include Court Room, Three Peaks and Saab Almanal. BATTERSEA also falls into the latter category and Roger Varian's Galileo colt is a hopeful choice in what appears a wide-open affair. He stayed this far as a juvenile and therefore let's hope he'll be ridden positively to maximise his experience and assured stamina.
