Verdict
Be Bold was unfancied and never threatened when fifth on his debut at Newbury. He had King Crimson well behind and may still turn out best of those with experience given Johnny Sorrento was beaten nine lengths when runner-up at Lingfield. Designate finished even further behind in the latter's race and Escalating never figured in the Brocklesby three weeks ago. Given the modest form on offer, COLOUR CATCHER may well prove good enough on his debut and the Godolphin colt gets the nod ahead of the Elsworth newcomers.
