Verdict

CORNISH CASTLE is ten pounds better off with Arts Guild here than he would be if this was a handicap, and we'll side with the former, while also acknowledging the claims of Equipe de Nuit. Tim Walford's gelding returns to a level at which both his previous wins have come, and they were here as well, in lowly handicaps back in April. Arts Guild is having his first run since December, and his best effort to date came here over slightly further. He's giving plenty of weight away all round though, and maybe too much. Equipe de Nuit drops into this sort of company after struggling in handicaps; he's seemed regressive since a couple of runners up spots in his first two outings last year. A drop in trip seems a positive for AllforMary, but she likes some juice in the ground. It's a trappy little claimer, but given the weights, we'll side with Cornish Castle.
