Not much strength in depth to the opener, so a chance is taken that Doitforreel is good enough to defy top weight in this company. Aahgowangowan is a tough campaigner and, along with Stokesies Wish and Fist Rhapsody, is expected to provide the sternest challenges. First Rhapsody has shown useful form at this sort of level this season and does not have too much to find to get competitive here. Still, she ran as if the handicapper has her measure at Newcastle last week and now has a little to prove. Stokesies Wish is holding her form well at present and should handle the ground. However, she is hard to win with and needs a little luck on her side. The same can be said of Aahgowangowan, who is as consistent as she is unlucky. She has made the frame on ten separate occasion, though, and looks a solid each-way option this afternoon. However, preference goes to Doitforreel, who is far less exposed and, with her versatility regarding the ground a major factor, she is expected to relish the drop in trip today.
