A hard race to assess with so many runners returning from an all-weather campaign and question marks against their abilities on this surface. Bond Diamond though is a versatile type who scored last time out at Lingfield and should run a solid race here. Cedar Rangers won last time on the polytrack but has never reproduced that sort of form on the grass. Locombe Hill returned to his very best at Newcastle last time and the quicker surface should not pose too many problems. Countrywide Star is unreliable but with his his trainer in such good form is the type who could pop up soon at a big price. Archirondel was much improved last season on fast ground and much depends on how fit he is after such a long absence while Apache Point is closely matched with Locombe Hill and there is no reason why can't put in his usual consistent effort.
