Eilean Eeve was a real eye-catcher at Doncaster at the weekend and will be hard to resist if serving up an improved display today. Shampagne is from a yard that can do no wrong at the moment, so has to merit consideration, while Amorachy is related to several sprint winners and is one to monitor in the betting. Strictly Royal and Calypso Girl, on the other hand, showed very little on their respective debuts and are hard to recommend at this stage. Eilean Eeve took a while to get going on Saturday and ultimately had too much ground to make up near the finish. The daughter of And Beyond will be suited by slightly further in time and is basically a long term prospect. However, she has the best credentials on offer here and, as her quick reappearance can be taken as a solid indication of her well being, the mount of Seb Sanders is the one to beat in Nottingham's opener.
