Not a strong race and preference is for Rawdon ahead of Dovedale and Sovereign Spirit. The selection will have Tony McCoy on board for the first time this afternoon and this capable flat horse is fancied to get off the mark over hurdles. He has shown ability and on perfect ground he should be a player from this mark of 99. Dovedale is a course and distance winner and deserves respect given the way that he won here last time, whilst Petrus De Sormain showed more last time and looks to be on a fair mark. Bon Viveur disappointed on his last run and needs to return to form, whilst similar comments apply to course and distance winner Mungo Jerry and also Donatessa. Sovereign Spirit is another to consider given his fair third at Fontwell last time, however it is Rawdon who gets the nod in the opener.
