Mushtaaq is now 5lb better off with Maria Di Scozia for a two length beating last time out and with blinkers applied for the first time Michael Jarvis's charge can come out on top today. Those blinkers are presumably applied because he drifted quite badly in the closing stages. The extra four furlongs are the unknown but Maria Di Scozia is in the same boat with regard to this. Her maiden form is much stronger to that of Mushtaaq but she shown herself on more than one occasion to have her quirks. Kiribati King is stepped back up in trip after finding the 1m 4f too sharp around Chester, staying on all too late in the day. He does not appear to have the improvement in him which the previously mentioned two remain open to now that they are stepped up although his stamina is proven. General Ting tackles turf for the first time having acquired his handicap mark by being campaigned over inadequate distances and appeared in need of further judged on his Kempton effort. Dubai Petel could provide punters with some each way value but Mushtaaq is selected.
