Osteopathic Remedy, Spinning and Violent Velocity catch the eye here with the progressive Spinning taken to take advantage of what looks a lenient handicap mark. Violent Velocity picked up a deserved success at Thirsk last time after some unlucky runs, and the form has been given two terrific boosts with both the second and third scoring since. Only 5lbs higher here he can go well, but his ability to be as effective on good to soft ground-his win came on good to firm-is questionable and he is taken on. Spinning met Violent Velocity in April and beat him into a two lengths third. He is a pound better off with Violent Velocity here, though the handicapper has raised him 6lbs for a subsequent narrow win at Newcastle. His regular pilot Neil Brown is on board and his come from behind style will be well suited to this galloping track. Osteopathic Remedy recently completed a hat-trick and is in top form. He was well beaten by Spinning in April but he has improved significantly since then. His trainer ended a long barren spell with a winner at Catterick on Wednesday and he is only reluctantly passed over. Spinning has conditions in his favour and can complete the hat-trick.
