This is a typically competitive renewal of this excellent handicap and Supaseus is selected to follow up a key win last time. Championship Point has top weight and despite that looks set to go well. He has progressed remarkably this season and will handle the easy surface. However, he is not well drawn and looks vulnerable to less exposed types. Willie Haggas has his string in good form and he saddles Mutajarred, a winner last time. He is in good heart, but is yet to show winning form on this ground so is opposed. Flying Clarets was second in this event last year but is now 17lbs higher. However, he should not be written off as two fine wins this season suggest he is better than ever. Ezdiyaad can handle soft ground and although he was unplaced at Royal Ascot on fast ground he is perhaps capable of further improvement and is well drawn. Prince Forever goes well on soft ground and has come down the handicap a little after some respectable efforts in good company. He is well drawn and can go well. Hughie Morrison has had a fairly quiet spell by his standards but he has the likely winner here in Supaseus. He beat Many Volumes last time and that one has since beaten the hugely talented Bushman in a valuable Sandown handicap. Supaseus carries a five pound penalty here and a win on similar ground at Ascot in September suggests he looks to have a great chance from his low draw. SUPASEUS has the ticks in the right boxes and is taken to collect this excellent prize.
