A tough handicap to solve here and Actabou is purely a speculative selection. The Michael Dods yard is beginning to hit form once again after a relatively quiet spell and a change of tactics worked the oracle on Actabou last time. Surprisingly he was allowed to go off an unconsidered 25-1 shot so it can be assumed he rather surprised connections with that win. A high draw will allow his rider bag a rails pitch. Lady Carollina is the other winner coming into the contest having made a winning handicap debut last time. A 6lb rise is not too harsh for that victory and with her open to improvement she should be in the mix come the business end. Nawaaff has only one win from fifteen starts to his name but to his defence he hasn't had the ground to suit for the majority of his turf starts this season. Although fifth of seven last time, it was an improved effort and he should be able to exploit his low rating over the coming months. Virtuality was dropped back to six furlongs for his final maiden start and that resulted in a much improved effort. Apple Pie Order is one which is open to improvement but seven furlongs might be more suited to him. Actabou is nominated to land back-to-back victories.
