Ice Slice was in good form around this time last year and later beat Two For Two at Chester. He shouldn’t be far away if fully wound-up but WEEKEND OFFENDER was also a progressive sort last season and gets the vote. He’s just 3lb higher than when winding up his campaign in October with a victory at York in a race in which King's Pavilion, who has changed stables since, was last. Chestnut Fire has been cracking form around Dundalk over the winter but may be a few pounds too high back on Turf. George William has yet to win over this trip, though was only beaten a short-head at Newmarket last July. Heatstroke and G K Chesterton are both unexposed and should win races this term while the drop back to a mile may benefit Midhmaar. Shady Mccoy has a good strike rate for a handicapper but has never won beyond 7f.
