A competitive-looking handicap with more than half of the field having had at least one run on the all-weather over the winter. Blitz, second at Wolverhampton in February on his first start for Clive Cox, goes on the short-list. Erissimus Maximus arrives off the back of a win on Southwell’s Fibresand and scored on Turf at Yarmouth last year. Scuzeme won easily at Newcastle in January on his first run since being gelded but we fancy BLUE SUEDE to reverse running here in October with Awesome Allan and Coolfitch as she re-opposes on better terms. Now with Richard Fahey, she’s clearly very tough and is unlikely to fail through lack of fitness. Les Eyre has booked Ryan Moore for Jack Flash and the grey is also worth a second look.
