Verdict

LOVE PEGASUS gets the vote in this handicap over Mull Of Killough and High Severa. Mark Johnston's 3-year-old has been in great form on the all-weather and he is chasing the hat-trick here today. If he can translate his recent form on the polytrack back to the turf then he would have a rock solid chance. Mull Of Killough is the interesting one against our selection as he won his maiden in good style on his debut and then followed that up with a success at Thirsk on his handicap debut. He has done everything that has been asked of him so far and it remains to be seen what the ceiling of his achievements will be. High Severa is versatile with regards to the ground and he beat Proud Times at Haydock in good style last month. The yard are in good form so it would be no surprise to see him run a big race. The Richard Fahey-trained Firebet is a model of consistency and he could be hard to keep out of the frame. But in a race where plenty have chances the pick goes to Love Pegasus.
